Stephen Lawlor was born in Dublin in 1958. He lectured at IADT (DLCAD) in printmaking & drawing and was the Chairman of Graphic Studio Dublin Print Workshop. Lawlor worked at studios internationally including: Guanlan Print Base, Shenzhen China, Galleri Astley, Sweden, Jyvaskyla Centre for Print, Finland, Paupers Press, London, Hampton Editions, USA & YAC Tianjin, China. He is a founding member of IAPA Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing China 2016 and was elected a member of Aosdána in 2018.
