Live Performance: In Response to Deirdre Frost | Tumbling earth

To coincide with 𝐃𝐞𝐢𝐫𝐝𝐫𝐞 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐭’s current solo exhibition 𝘛𝘶𝘮𝘣𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘌𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘩, the gallery will host an evening of live musical performances on 𝐓𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟐𝟑𝐫𝐝 from 6:30-7:30pm, with Mia Cooper and Michael Buckley.

𝐌𝐢𝐚 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫, leader of the RTE Concert Orchestra, will perform 𝘐𝘯 𝘏𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘵, 𝘐𝘯 𝘛𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 (12:45) composed by 𝐏𝐚𝐮𝐥 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐭 for solo violin. Paul Frost’s work as a composer has been commissioned and performed by RTE Concert Orchestra (The Burning of Cork), Irish Chamber Orchestra (Trip, Elevation), Lyric FM (A New Day Rising), European Brass Collective (Bruckner Fantasy).

𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐞𝐥 𝐁𝐮𝐜𝐤𝐥𝐞𝐲 will then perform 𝘛𝘶𝘮𝘣𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘌𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘩 – an improvisational response on saxophone. Michael Buckley is a long regarded influential musician on the Irish jazz and pop scene both as a player, producer and composer.
